With summer travel season in full swing, KAYAK, the world's leading travel search engine, is once again leaning into humor to convey its value as the smarter way to travel with two new spots focused on flight prices being cheaper this summer, titled “Take Some Time Off.”

KAYAK’s latest search data shows summer flight prices averaging 7% less than last summer, with some long-haul routes (think Sydney or Hong Kong) down into the double-digits. This rare bright spot inspired the brand’s new Summer campaign – proof that you can score a getaway without resorting to extreme measures.

Developed in partnership with agency Tombras, the campaign highlights the unique things that people might do in order to afford travel – like feet content creation or scamming people – then offers KAYAK as the smarter, more reasonable way to save.

The scenarios highlight a simple truth: It’s cheaper to travel this summer. Each spot ends with the line, “Take Some Time Off. Flights are cheaper this summer.”

Launching in mid July, the campaign will run across OLV, digital, and social channels. KAYAK’s messages are designed to inspire and engage a wide-demo of travel enthusiasts, catering to the budget-savvy explorer in all of us.
