State Farm is back for another season of football, continuing to highlight how having insurance isn’t the same as having State Farm. The campaign makes clear: in both football and insurance, “close enough” doesn’t cut it. Two new spots, created by TMA, blend culture, humor and a diverse mix of star power to cement State Farm’s place at the intersection of sports and culture. One commercial, “Trainer vs Trainer,” teams Jake from State Farm with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor in a playful spot to show that having Meghan Trainor isn’t the same as having a certified athletic trainer - just as when it comes to coverage, having insurance isn’t the same as having State Farm. A second spot, “Captain,” highlights the not-so-subtle difference between a sea captain and Aidan Hutchinson, a defensive captain for Detroit. Because when you need a real leader, there’s no room for stand-ins. Both spots debuted during the start of the 2025-26 pro football season.
