It has been coined a mainly humorous holiday for singles, or even for those who oppose the nature of the February 14th token ‘Hallmark Holiday”. The day declares to the world that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being single and that it’s something to be celebrated.
Motel One offers a discount for single rooms on this special holiday. To spread the word, this print ad series portrays singledom through funny headlines and minimal illustrations to demonstrate how perfectly okay it is to be alone sometimes.
