Sculpture Milwaukee is one of the world’s largest sculpture exhibits, spanning over five miles in the heart of the city. Yet many people don’t realize it’s a connected exhibit they can enjoy for free. To bring awareness to the masses, Nelson Schmidt worked with quirky, recognizable Milwaukeeans who shared their inner thoughts on their favorite sculptures. We created fantastical worlds on the fronts of the OOH street posters, reflecting the artsy personalities of the subjects and making the posters works of art themselves. The backs continued the incredible intrigue that encouraged everyday Milwaukeeans to open their eyes to art they can experience every day.
