NO OTHER CRUNCH IS NEEDED

WITH KFC, NO OTHER CRUNCH IS NEEDED

The First-Ever Global Quality Lahpet Htamin That Needs No Other Crunch

Description

Lahpet Htamin is one of Myanmar’s most unique traditional dishes. Unlike most countries where tea is enjoyed primarily as a beverage, Myanmar uniquely embraces tea leaves as food—making Lahpet an important part of the country’s culinary identity.

Traditionally, Lahpet Htamin is enjoyed with toppings such as crispy fried beans, roasted peanuts and dried shrimp. Over time, these additions have become an expected part of what makes the dish feel complete.

So, the hidden cliché of the category became clear:
The more toppings you add, the better the Lahpet Htamin.

But what if the hero isn’t the toppings?
When the main ingredient is already Finger Lickin’ Good, does it really need extra crunch?

With KFC Lahpet Htamin, we kept the heart of the dish intact and introduced one unexpected companion: KFC Popcorn Chicken.

By making KFC’s freshly prepared chicken the hero, we created a new Lahpet Htamin experience that respects Myanmar’s culinary tradition while bringing KFC’s signature flavor to a beloved local favorite.

WITH KFC, NO OTHER CRUNCH IS NEEDED.

The campaign came to life through a storytelling journey—from a curiosity-driven teaser, to a reveal TVC, followed by product-focused breakdowns showcasing the unexpected combination of authentic Lahpet Htamin and KFC Popcorn Chicken.
