"My Mom Colours The Way" is a special packaging design project for Pink Lady apples, created for Mother's Day in Thailand. We want this packaging to act as more than just a gift — it’s a way for children to express their love and appreciation for their mothers. Instead of a typical Mother's Day card that conveys gratitude, the packaging itself becomes the message, offering something heartfelt and meaningful.
However, we wanted to move away from the traditional Mother’s Day gifts that focus on sentimentality and tears. Pink Lady encourages people to live vibrantly, so we sought to reflect that in this gift. We realized that for someone to grow up with the kind of vibrancy Pink Lady represents, it’s not just about who they are; it’s about how they were raised. This led us to the idea that mothers who raise vibrant children are vibrant themselves — they nurture and instill that colorful spirit.
That’s where the idea of "My Mom Colours The Way" came from. In Thai, we capture this sentiment as "เพราะมีแม่เริ่ดขนาดนี้ ชีวิตเลยมีสีสัน" (because my mom is this fabulous, my life is colorful). The packaging is designed to be a stylish gift that trendy children can proudly give to their equally fabulous mothers.
