Monster Spray

Childline by ISPCC has developed a new direct response campaign – “Monster Spray” in support of the ISPCC's national fundraising appeal, which taps into the very real horror that is part of so many children’s lives.

Viewers initially see an idyllic sun-drenched outdoor scene in which an entrepreneurial tween-age girl appears to be selling ‘Monster Spray’ to passers-by. But there’s nothing childish about her motivation. It soon emerges that Emily knows only too well the dangers posed by monsters. She lives with one. Brave Emily is giving away “Monster Spray” to other children to help protect them from the potential monsters in their lives.

James Phelan, Individual Giving Lead with ISPCC, says: “Emily’s story will resonate with far too many children. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers at Childline hear from countless children and young people every day who reach out to us for help. They tell us about abuse, neglect and the devastation this has on their lives. No matter how brave they are, they can’t defeat monsters on their own - monsters who should be the most trusted people in their lives."

This professional campaign titled 'Monster Spray' was published in Ireland in June, 2024. It was created for the brand: Childline, by ad agency: Like Charity. This campaign is related to the Public Interest industry and contains 1 media asset. It was submitted about 2 months ago.
