Storyboarding: The project kicked off with a detailed storyboard to outline the journey from a regular coffee shop visit to a whimsical animated interaction. Each scene was planned to balance real-world footage with character animations, focusing on smooth transitions and harmonious composition. From the customer entering Cofix to sharing animated moments with the Miniso characters, every sequence was carefully visualized to achieve a seamless integration of live-action and animation.
Characters: The heart of the project was bringing Miniso's beloved characters to life in a way that was both playful and authentic. Each character was meticulously designed to convey a light, friendly personality that complemented the video’s cheerful tone. Their movements, gestures, and interactions were tailored to feel natural. We paid special attention to their facial expressions and body language to ensure they blended organically with influencer Roobon’s real-world charm.
Final Result: The final video beautifully captured the essence of collaboration between Cofix and Miniso. It featured a harmonious mix of live-action and 2D animation, showcasing Miniso’s characters interacting naturally with Roobon in a Cofix coffee shop. The video was produced in two formats—horizontal for social media and vertical for digital screens—ensuring flexibility to meet the client’s diverse needs. The result was a visually engaging piece that effectively announced the art contest, leaving viewers with a smile and a lasting impression of both brands’ friendly, creative spirit.
Post-Production & Polishing: In post-production, the live footage and animations were blended seamlessly. Special care was taken to match the lighting, perspective, and color tones of the animated characters with the coffee shop environment. Sound design added to the immersive experience, with cheerful chatter, background ambiance, and the gentle clink of coffee cups. Final color grading and editing polished the video, creating a lighthearted, visually appealing piece that resonated with both brands' playful identities.
