Human Global is a 2-year old creative agency headquartered in Mumbai.
We wanted to create a proprietary typeface that reflects the imperfect, instinctive and emotional nature of human behaviour. The intent was to challenge the visual sameness of modern branding, create an emotionally expressive design system, embed the agency’s philosophy into comms, and design a typeface that behaves more like people than machines.
The human truth?
People are emotional, impulsive, contradictory and constantly evolving. We interrupt ourselves. We change direction mid-thought. We react before we rationalise. We can't be seen as straight lines.
The Execution
Our custom typeface - Humanish - is designed around the unpredictability of human behaviour itself. Every curve, stretch and irregularity within the typeface is intentionally crafted to resist rigidity and mechanical uniformity.
In a world where branding systems are designed for consistency, we decided to optimise for humanity.
We didn't want our typeface to be perfect. Just, humanish.
