Health Buddy

After purchasing an Oura Ring and downloading the app, users will be prompted to choose a health buddy avatar that will tag along with them on their health journey. The mood and health of the Buddy will be a direct reflection of the biometrics collected by the ring of their own health. If you slept well, your buddy will be in a good mood. If you slept poorly or are stressed the buddy won’t be feeling well and you will be prompted to participate in a health-benefitting activity to gain Oura Points, which will increase your Buddy’s mood. Since this feature uses AR to capture your Buddy wherever you go, there is a camera feature to take photos of your Buddy in real time.

The Oura Ring App also has its own social sharing platform that allows you to connect with friends and compare health and sleep scores. The AR pictures taken of your Buddy can be posted to this platform and shared with friends. When doing an activity you can take a photo of your Buddy and show off your stats as well. Another feature is the use of Oura Points to buy accessories for your Buddy, giving an incentive to want to earn more Oura Points.
