Gracie Abrams lighting up a Parisian café.
Description
Gracie Abrams stars as the face of Chanel’s latest fragrance, Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu, in a new two-and-a-half-minute film directed by Joe Wright. The campaign follows Abrams as she prepares for a glamorous event but gradually sheds the carefully constructed look, removing her wig and makeup before escaping the paparazzi and embracing her authentic self.
After slipping away from the cameras, Abrams trades her formal attire for a simple white dress and disappears into a lively Parisian bar, where she dances on tables, plays pinball and crowd-surfs among the patrons. The film moves through rain-soaked Paris streets and intimate interiors, using her escape as a metaphor for freedom, spontaneity and self-expression.
Created by Chanel in-house perfumer Olivier Polge, Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu features opening notes of lychee and grapefruit, with rose and jasmine at the heart and a woody, ambery base. The campaign positions the fragrance as an expression of confidence and individuality, with Abrams embodying the free-spirited, adventurous energy of the Coco Mademoiselle woman.
