Exploring Indonesia's most iconic romance beyond happily ever after

Royco x AADC Short Film - A Different Love Language
Description
Unilever Indonesia's popular seasoning brand Royco has partnered with Ada Apa Dengan Cinta, Indonesia's most iconic romantic film franchise, for a new campaign that revisits the country’s most beloved on-screen romance more than a decade after their story concluded.
Ada Apa Dengan Cinta, first released in 2002, became a defining cultural moment for
Indonesian audiences, and the 2016 sequel Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2 reunited the nation with Rangga and Cinta. But one question remained: what happened after the "happily ever after"? Royco’s campaign, titled Bahasa Cinta Yang Beda (A Different Love Language), picks up that thread and explores how love can evolve over the course of a long relationship and find expression in everyday gestures rather than grand declarations.
At the centre of the campaign is a short film that showcases Cinta's journey to understand Rangga’s love language and attempt to perfect an omelette — Rangga's favourite dish — as an act of love. The omelette becomes the campaign's central symbol: a simple, everyday gesture that carries more meaning than any grand romantic declaration. Royco positions itself as part of that language — the ingredient in the small, daily moments where love quietly shows up.
This love story is brought to life by Royco in collaboration with frank. Singapore, Omnicom's dedicated Unilever team, and director Teddy Soeria Atmadja — one of Indonesia’s most celebrated film directors, known for his work across cinema and Netflix productions. The film stars Dian Sastrowardoyo and Sissy Prescillia, reprising their roles from the original franchise.
This professional campaign titled 'Exploring Indonesia's most iconic romance beyond happily ever after' was published in Indonesia in September, 2026. It was created for the brands: Royco and Unilever, by ad agency: frank. Singapore. This Film medium campaign is related to the Food and Household Products industries and contains 2 media assets.
