KFC Spain in collaboration with Xbox, and conceptualized and executed by the creative agency PS21 launched Drive-Thru Grand Prix, an initiative inside Forza Horizon 5 that transformed KFC Auto’s real-life drive-thru layouts into a challenging virtual racing track.
Using satellite imagery and topographic data, the team recreated the 15 most complex turns from KFC locations in cities like Madrid, Alicante, and Barcelona. These were brought to life within Forza Horizon 5, one of the most popular racing games on Xbox Series X, where over 15,000 gamers around the world took on the challenge.
The campaign proved to be a viral success, becoming the most played track in the game during its launch period. It reached 72 million impressions, and—most notably—contributed to a +700% increase in KFC drive-thru orders in Spain.
This innovative approach not only revitalized a declining sales channel, but also demonstrated how gaming and real-world data can merge to create compelling, brand-driven experiences.
