The UK’s leading garden centre retailer, Dobbies Garden Centres, has today unveiled its new Christmas campaign, ‘Dobbies, where great value comes to life’. The integrated push was developed in partnership with ELVIS.
To follow up the striking ‘Spring it on’ campaign which launched in April of this year, Dobbies worked with ELVIS to develop an extraordinary festive idea, in order to raise awareness of the garden centre retailer as a magical and accessible alternative to the average shopping experience this Christmas.
The campaign seeks to engage with a broad audience, from mainstream Christmas shoppers to traditional gardeners, encouraging them to rethink where they shop this festive season. ELVIS’ own research revealed that people are looking for more meaning at Christmas, as well as feeling open to switching where they shop as they look for value this season.
The integrated Christmas push focuses on a magical growing bauble which, when watered, grows into something truly spectacular, seeding the warmth and special festive spirit found inside every Dobbies’ store at this time of year.
ELVIS partnered with Craft Films and directors WE to create a hero film which depicts the magical bauble coming to life, harnessing live action, stop motion and CGI techniques.
The agency, which recently became B Corp-certified, ensured low carbon impact when it came to the ad’s production, ensuring best practice approaches and considering green recycling and donations for every item on set. Dobbies Garden Centres is also committed to sustainable practices and was a supportive partner to these ways of working with ELVIS.
