The average person doesn’t realize the environmental impact of digital presence. All digital content, especially digital advertising, releases carbon into the atmosphere. So how does Volvo, a brand committed to climate safety, raise awareness of this invisible threat? They do something radical. They pull the plug. Cut Volvo’s production of digital ads for a year. Then, release a minimally designed, low-carbon app that uses AI to help people track and decrease their own digital carbon footprint.
