In relation to International Women's Day 2023, Girls’ Legion is launching the new campaign: “Claim Your Voice”.

Through real experiences, it demonstrates what female gamers go through online, specifically in the in-game voice chats.

33% of female gamers say they have experienced sexual harassment from male or other gamers in the form of objectifying comments or death and rape threats. Understandably resulting in more and more feminine voices being hidden behind AI voice changers. In fact, studies have shown that 59% of women hide their gender to avoid harassment.

This year United Nations has chosen the theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality” for International Women’s Day, March 8 2023.

A theme that speaks directly to what Girls' Legion believes in - To support women in gaming and facilitate safe online communities without any harassment or discrimination.
