The driving test was once a rite of passage that meant freedom from parental drop-offs is now left in the rearview. With ride-sharing up and driving anxiety on the rise, only 40% of teens have their license. 54% fail on the first try, and when they do pass, Gen Z top the road rage charts. Extra helps Gen Z drivers make the road a less stressful and more accessible place. Through sales of our new rearview pack, we funded driving test retakes to remove financial barriers to getting a license. And with a TikTok trend that gives road rage something to chew on, we showed young drivers how something as simple as gum can help them keep their cool and get there safely.
