Bengali Noboborsho, also known as Pohela Boishakh, is the first day of the Bengali calendar. It is celebrated on April 15 every year, which marks the beginning of the Bengali New Year. The celebration of Bengali Noboborsho is a significant cultural event for Bengalis all over the world, particularly in the Indian state of West Bengal and Bangladesh.

The instrument we see on the screen is called Ektara. It is very common in Bengal to see Bauls singing while playing this instrument. A very simple one-string instrument that adds richness to soulful regional songs.
