Vote buying and selling has been a menace that has plagued Nigeria's politics for years now. Votes to be cast has become a commodity on sale for the highest bidder and sometimes, for as low as 5,000 naira and even less.
The recent case of vote buying being the Ekiti and Osun State Gubernatorial elections.
Some people boldly show how they sell their votes, flauting the money gotten, while other claim to collect the money and still vote for the candidate of their choice, without being influenced.
Whatever the case may be, vote selling and buying has become a threat to proper democracy.
The problem aroused the need for constant sensitization of the public on the consequences of selling their votes.
