Swinburne: Engineering Open Day Ambient Posters
Swinburne Ambient Ad - Engineering Open Day Ambient Posters

Description

These posters were part of the advertising for Swinburne University of Technology¹s Engineering Faculty at their Open Day. The university places a particular emphasis on sustainability in the way they train new engineers. Working from a very tight budget, we created an advertising piece that used a location one always finds in a university a wall that¹s been plastered over with layers of bill posters for various concerts, rallies and events. We also picked plants that are native to Australia and that require minimal watering ideal for the current drought conditions.

Ambient advertisement created by M&C Saatchi, Australia for Swinburne, within the category: Education.

Excellent, if it wouldn't be inspired from a Canadian project, Poster Pocket Plants http://posterpocketplants.blogspot.com/

Nothing like stealing a project/idea done for the the activation of public space by students over a year ago in Toronto: http://spacingtoronto.ca/2009/07/15/poster-pocket-plants-revisited/

Shame.

It would be good if they had more examples.

Quite possibly not an original idea... but more clearly executed.
