7UP® and the Isla agency present “Yo no te pido la Luna”, the pre-launch of the new brand campaign starring the renowned Hollywood actor and director Diego Luna.
The campaign will be available starting today in Mexico and soon in Chile, Guatemala and Ecuador, following an extensive pitch process that began in April 2024, and after several months of testing and adapting the original script in collaboration with Diego Luna.
Under the concept “Let’s stay where the fun steals the show” the story tells Diego’s life. How only his friends know him outside the film set. He’s down to earth, approachable, fun, and as true to him as the classic 7UP® lemon-lime flavor.
In a few words, and without giving too much away, Diego Luna is just one of the group. A campaign aligned with the brand’s history, where spending time with friends leads to amazing things.
The Content Film features a reimagined version of the famous song “Yo no te pido la luna” by Daniela Romo, adding a touch of nostalgia and surprise for the viewers. “I really identified with the message of this campaign” said Diego Luna. “I think there’s something very valuable in learning to enjoy the simple things, spending time with the people you love, and not taking life too seriously. That’s exactly what 7UP® conveys, and that’s why I was excited to be part of this project”.
The film is complemented by a short-format Mixology campaign that is “enthusiastic friend-bartenders proof, with not much talent” inviting consumers to break the mold and try new and delicious mocktails made with ice-cold 7UP®. All in the hands of Diego Luna and a script packed with irresistible recipes.
Next up, the film shot in Mexico City by Sergio Granados, founder and director of the production company Lovster.
