Today, Kinder Bueno introduces its first-ever Super Bowl campaign, “Yes Bueno,” featuring style expert, Daphne founder, and co-host of Giggly Squad Paige DeSorbo and acclaimed Hollywood actor William Fichtner.
Created in partnership with Anomaly and directed by Björn Rühmann, the campaign marks Kinder Bueno’s Big Game debut, flipping everyday “No Bueno” moments into “Yes Bueno” ones through the brand’s crispy wafer, smooth chocolate, and creamy hazelnut filling.
The :30 spot unfolds as a high-stakes, space-themed adventure, following two astronauts navigating a dangerous journey through a starry galaxy while space communicators back on Earth, played by Fichtner and DeSorbo, track their progress.
As the expedition encounters meteor showers, aliens, and a trip through a black hole, moments that would typically be “No Bueno” are instead met with enjoyment of Kinder Bueno and reframed as “Yes Bueno.”
The astronauts travel through a series of transformations, shifting through comic, gnome, porcelain, and clown forms before ultimately becoming infant versions of themselves in spacesuits. The film concludes with Kinder Bueno orbiting the screen as the narrator delivers the line, “Irresistible chocolate, wafer, hazelnut. Yes Bueno.”
To bring cinematic scale to the Super Bowl debut, production shipped a real spacecraft fuselage complete with working lights, along with authentic astronaut suits and helmets worn on set. Rather than filming the control room in a traditional office setting, production design used a volumetric screen to create one wall of the set, housing emergency graphics and spaceship visuals while also influencing the lighting. The same volumetric screen was used to capture the experience of traveling through a black hole, with the in-camera graphics reflecting off the actor’s face to create an immersive effect.
To further ground the campaign in practical filmmaking, the team built a physical alien planet miniature set with in-camera lighting passes, pushing beyond traditional post-production VFX. The spot was brought to life by production designer Jeremy Hindle and director of photography Mike Gioulakis.
The campaign also includes a :45 extended cut, along with a 360-degree rollout spanning influencer partnerships, media, e-commerce, special retail displays, packaging, and limited-edition white and dark chocolate flavors.
To extend the excitement beyond football season, Kinder Bueno is running a national Game Day Sweepstakes through March 31, 2026, with weekly prizes and a $25,000 grand prize. The campaign airs nationally during the Super Bowl on February 8, 2026 on NBC.
