For the Merdeka brand film for CGC, the story is narrated by a young girl, Farrah, who speaks about her father's sacrifices during a school essay competition themed “A Malaysian Hero.”

While many of her classmates write about famous figures, Farrah chooses her father, a humble restaurant owner. Through her narration, we witness his journey from operating a small stall to building a growing restaurant chain, with CGC supporting him along the way.

As his sacrifices, perseverance and dedication unfold, her classmates and teacher come to realise that everyday Malaysians like Farrah’s father are the unsung heroes driving the nation forward. The film reflects CGC’s commitment to empowering MSMEs and celebrating the resilience that powers Malaysia’s progress.
