Doe-Anderson unveils splashy Out of Home work for Georgia Aquarium
WHERE WONDER LIVES
Doe Anderson is launching a splashy Out of Home work for Georgia Aquarium as part of a new brand campaign they broke earlier this year for the Atlanta Aquarium with both a notable Super Bowl presence and a broad media palette encompassing everything from podcasts to print.
This next wave focuses on OOH.
The first execution is a giant illuminated 3D blowup jellyfish located just off Interstate I85.
Already on its way to becoming a landmark for both Atlanta and Georgia Aquarium, the striking visual excites visitors upon arrival and is a point of pride for Georgians, reinforcing they have one of the world’s best aquariums in their backyard. It was a complex build combining printed elements, a 3D extension brought in by crane, and fine-tuned lighting to bring it all together.
The second eye-catching OOH execution is the Atlanta Streetcar wrap, a mobile piece that brings the Aquarium’s sense of wonder to the city’s downtown streets, a feeling it invites all to experience firsthand at the aquarium.
“Being inside the Georgia Aquarium is absolutely incredible. It felt like an impossible task to try to fully match the vibes, colors and excitement that you feel when you’re there. But we thought we could get close by focusing on two things in the high-impact OOH space: scale and color. Glowing neon lights, a giant jellyfish and a bright mobile aquatic mural disguised as a transit bus seemed like the perfect homage to the country’s best aquarium,” said Doe-Anderson VP-Director of Design Zach Stewart.
