In a deliciously unexpected twist for higher-ed marketing, Colorado Mesa University (CMU) and TRAFFIK Global have dropped “Welcome to Featherstone”, a cinematic satire that gleefully roasts elitism, privilege, and the performative polish worshipped by America’s most exclusive universities.

At the center of the campaign is Featherstone University, a fictional institution where pedigree outranks purpose and status is the only real curriculum. Through razor-edged writing, stylized cinematography, and humor that cuts with a smile, the piece reframes what higher education should stand for and positions CMU as the antidote to the ivory-tower illusion.
