Popeyes® is finally launching its world-famous Chicken Sandwich in the Mexican market in the city of Guadalajara. Because Guadalajara will be the only place in Mexico where The Sandwich will be available for now, Popeyes® is launching a tourism campaign called “Visit Guadalajara, la Ciudad del Sandwich.” The campaign aims to invite everyone outside the state of Jalisco, Mexico who wants to get their hands on this Internet sensation, to visit Guadalajara to try it. As an incentive to visit Guadalajara, Popeyes® is rolling out a 50% discount on ‘The Sandwich,’ with proof of residence. Popeyes® hopes to inspire not just trial, but actual visits to Guadalajara, “La Ciudad del Sandwich,” by leveraging their flagship product’s wide popularity.
