The youth, especially Gen Z, avoid complexities. Unlike other brands, the smartfren UNLIMITED does not have any complex terms and is, hence, the right product fit.
To capture the minds, win the hearts of the youth, and make them advocate smartfren, we used cats (the most popular animal on the internet in Indonesia) as a hero. We let a cat hack our social media as a teaser and talk to our audiences. It was fun to see thousands of people go crazy for it.
The cat and his friends went viral as they communicated smartfren UNLIMITED superiority across social networks and conventional media. Our network of publishers, KOLs, community, and strategic partners further amplifies this. The role of each channel was to create awareness and build advocacy.
