The World’s First Public Electric Library Car

In this experiential campaign by The&Partnership for Toyota Finland, anyone can use their library card to borrow an electric car from the public library.

In a world first, The Turku City Library is launching a brand-new experiment where citizens can borrow an electric car with their library card. The goal with this experiment is to offer new mobility opportunities with low emissions to the citizens of Turku. During the three-week trial, May 8 – May 28, you can borrow an electric Toyota bZ4X from the Turku City Library through the usual lending procedure.

The experiment is done in cooperation with Toyota, and is based on unified visions, values and the will to create new opportunities. Toyota has a long history of bringing low-emission technologies into the mainstream, making the newly launched fully electric Toyota bZ4X an obvious fit to become the world’s first borrowable electric library car.

Behind the campaign is Toyota Finland’s lead agency, The&Partnership Nordics.
