The most obscure print adverts...
Emu Today and Tomorrow Magazine — featuring Bango's advert
Bango's adverts, highlighting the problems of social media targeting
Description
In an effort to raise awareness for poor social targeting, data targeting company Bango launched print ads in the world's most obscure publications — including 'Emu Today and Tomorrow', 'Teddy Bear Times' and 'Drain Trader'.
According to Bango, 92% of video ads posted on social media sites don't reach their intended audience due to poor targeting — wasting billions of dollars of digital marketing spend.
Taking a pop at social media targeting, Bango claims that its obscure adverts are “still a better use of budget than most social ads."
The Second Worst Ad campaign is a follow up to Bango's previous "The Worst Ad" campaign in which the company bought a billboard in the middle of nowhere to protest poor search targeting.
