Food insecurity. It’s a problem that has only become worse with the last two plus years of the pandemic and now inflation. To help the Greater Boston Food Bank raise funds for September’s Hunger Awareness Month we created The Helping menu. Restaurants simply add menu items that are actually donations that go directly to the food bank. Items like Chilled Charity, Braised Giving, and Sweetened Kindness hide within the menu to hit patrons in the belly, and heart while they dine out. Then all they have to do is add one of the menu “items” to their bill, and the donation is made. Posters and social posts were made to help promote the campaign.
