Description

Since opening their doors in 1883, Women’s College Hospital (Women’s) has led the way in women’s healthcare.

Women’s history is full of firsts: They were the first hospital in Canada to train women in medicine and allow them to practice, the first to help simplify the PAP test, the first to establish an aging and menopause research lab, and the first in Canada to create a cardiac rehab program exclusively for women. Now, they’re sharing their ambitious new brand platform that showcases their legacy of blazing trails in women’s health.

‘The Future Follows Us’—developed by creative agency partner Zulu Alpha Kilo (Z.A.K.) with media support by Zulumatic and production by Scouts Honour—shines a spotlight on Women’s work building a world in which women are listened to, researched, and in charge, rather than dismissed, overlooked, or misdiagnosed. Acting as both a rallying cry and a promise, ‘The Future Follows Us’ uses Women’s strong past as a building block to create their vision of healthcare’s future.

“Women’s College Hospital has spent more than 140 years challenging what healthcare accepts as possible,” said Michelle Tafler, Vice-President, Marketing & Communications at Women’s College Hospital Foundation. “The Future Follows Us is about carrying that legacy forward. It reflects our belief that when healthcare is designed with women at its centre, we don’t just improve the health of women. We build better healthcare for everyone.”

“Women’s College Hospital has been a revolutionary world leader in healthcare for more than 140 years,” said Jenny Glover, Chief Creative Officer, Z.A.K. “We felt personally invested in the idea of bringing this platform to life, shedding light on the fog of uncertainty that women face when navigating the healthcare system.”

The Future Follows Us launches Women’s new mutli-pronged brand platform running through December with a fully integrated rollout spanning broadcast, streaming/OLV, out-of-home, social, audio, newsprint, and on-site print assets. Notably, still photography was shot by photojournalist Chloë Ellingson, capturing real, raw, candid moments in the lives of Women’s healthcare providers and patients.
