The Burn Book is an educational product and wealth redistribution tool. Created with the socially conscious cannabis user in mind, The Burn Book transforms an act of recreation into one of protest, education, and impact.

From package to rolling paper, it sparks a conversation over the United State’s legacy of over-policing it’s citizens and it’s support for the prison-industrial complex via the war on drugs—specifically on cannabis. While some use it recreationally without consequence, many are still prosecuted and incarcerated for its sale and possession. Disproportionately, members of the African American community are targeted by policies with racist and xenophobic origins.

Seven major pieces of legislation stand out. And these very laws are printed in organic ink on each sheet alongside an invitation to burn them on each package. In rolling the papers and slowly burning them, the medium becomes the message and meets advocates where their mouth is. With each puff, a protest with a material consequence is made both figuratively and literally.

Through a direct partnership with the Last Prisoner Project, profits from the sale of each pack go towards a fund earmarked for micro-grants, commissary funds and lobbying costs. Meaning the consumption of each pack directly benefits those who are harmed by the legislation users are asked to burn.
