Description
Seattle independent agency Copacino Fujikado has launched a playful new campaign for ORCA (One Regional Card for All), the unified transit payment system serving the greater Puget Sound region.
The campaign introduces its brand new feature: tap-to-pay. Now, commuters across King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties can board Community Transit, Everett Transit, Kitsap Transit, King County Metro, Pierce Transit, and Sound Transit using any credit or debit card, with no ORCA card required.
The strategy was simple: reach riders in the moments when they might choose transit but don't have an ORCA card on them, or time to find a ticket kiosk. Now, they can just tap and go!
To bring this concept to life, Copacino partnered with 3D animation studio Laundry. The hero spot shows an animated group of payment cards coming together to ride the bus, with a cameo from Boop, ORCA's orca whale mascot, as the bus driver. “Boop” is a playful nod to the sound the card reader makes when riders tap.
Copacino’s in-house media plan runs across OOH, transit placements, YouTube, and Meta from February through June. The campaign’s elements are available in Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese, with OOH executions including “Every Card is Welcome Aboard,” “Invited to Tap On,” and “Tap to Ride.”
"This was important to make transit even more accessible," said Scott Foreman, CEO of Copacino Fujikado. "We wanted the work to be warm and inviting, similarly to riders being able to tap their cards and go."
"This campaign does a great job of showing riders just how simple tap-to-pay really is," said Erin O'Connell, Deputy Director, Customer Experience at Regional ORCA Operations Team (ROOT). "Copacino understood the significance of this feature and translated it into something fun to connect with."
This professional campaign titled 'Tap-to-Pay' was published in United States in March, 2026. It was created for the brand: ORCA, by ad agency: Copacino Fujikado.
