Publicis Dublin use the iconic train ticket to create an intriguing, new student campaign for Iarnród Eireann/ Irish Rail. Designed to promote the rail provider’s student offers, the campaign encourages first year students to travel home by train at the weekends. The train connects a student’s home to their new college life, acting as a support system for first year students, especially in the first few months of college. The executions show the hilarious transition from home life to college life through the iconic Iarnród Eireann/Irish Rail ticket, by showing typical Irish home scene and a student scene co-existing in the same space. Publicis Dublin made the decision not to combine both scenes in post. So everything was shot in-frame instead of being retouched, to give a unique look and feel to the creative. The image is left with room to breathe by encapsulating all copy and logos in the giant student ticket . The campaign reminds students that the train is always their ticket to student life and back home whenever they need it.
