The design is built around the shapes of the Sofia Film Fest symbol — the ellipse — reimagined as a series of stylized eyes. These eyes represent the thousands of viewers who have spent the past three decades watching films at the festival, their gaze directed toward the cinema screen as a shared point of attention.
The repetition and layering of these forms suggest the passage of time and the accumulation of experience — years, films, and memories gradually building upon one another and shaping a personal relationship with cinema.
The retro-inspired aesthetic references both the early years of the festival and the visual heritage of film itself, creating a bridge between past and present while celebrating 30 years of cinema in Sofia.
