Description

TRÜ, a sustainable food brand, launches a campaign to shed light on a silent yet growing issue: glitter. National Geographic warns that these microplastics are proliferating in both marine and terrestrial environments and, due to their nearly microscopic size, are virtually impossible to remove, making glitter a significant source of primary microplastic pollution. During the holiday season, its use is common in gift wrapping, makeup, and decorations, a shine that can end up dimming the planet. In response, TRÜ proposes a simple yet powerful alternative: choosing not to use glitter. Together with photographer Julián Villamar, the brand presents a series of images where artificial sparkle visually blends with real ecosystems at risk, inviting reflection on our habits and encouraging more conscious celebrations without losing the magic of the season.
