In 2022, when NCAA regulations allowed college athletes to monetize their NIL, Austin-based independent creative agency CALLEN partnered with then-University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson to launch a new product: Bijan Mustardson. The gourmet mustard line pioneered a new kind of agency-talent relationship, with Robinson operating as an equity stakeholder rather than just a paid endorser, and reached national distribution last year.

Now, CALLEN has launched a new campaign for Bijan Mustardson ahead of this weekend’s major match-up for college football fans: the undefeated University of Texas taking on the Georgia Bulldogs. The new campaign, titled “Save the Dawgs,” aims to keep local bulldogs from Austin Bulldog Rescue – Georgia’s mascot – off Texas football fields and find them forever homes.

The spot pokes fun at Georgia’s football prowess, highlighting the lovable qualities of bulldogs – even if they aren’t football stars. It humorously taps into the classic dog adoption video style, but with a twist: while bulldogs may not be great at football, they still deserve a loving home.

The campaign is live today across social media ahead of the big game this weekend.
