Together with the creative agency Brain Tank, the team of the first Ukrainian Twitch show “Trapezoid of Fortune” brought the insane graphics of the early 2000s to the screens of modern HD monitors.

Following the absurd concept of the show’s creators, the creative agency Brain Tank proposed no less “quirky” graphics infused with the unique atmosphere of early-2000s Ukrainian television.

The inspiration for the graphics came from the word “first.” The first show — so we turned to the first Ukrainian TV shows. Their graphics at the time seemed somewhat experimental, but later became native to a whole bunch of people who grew up on it.
The key goal was to create graphics that break common sense over the knee. Simply put: to do what others would not allow themselves to do.

The content elements are pushed to absurdity and follow no logic whatsoever. And the designer himself would have been expelled from any university for such work.
Such an approach not only strongly hits the nostalgia of everyone who grew up on television of those same times, but also lands in the rapidly gaining trend for the aesthetics of the late 90s and early 2000s.

As a result of the work of both teams, the world saw a cacophony of meanings and anti-aesthetics thanks to a hyperbolized aesthetic. Of crazy animations and vivid emotions, which in synergy with the directors’ concept of the show work perfectly live on air.

It’s absurd, but “Trapezoid of Fortune” evokes emotions. Rarely can one allow oneself to do something so uncontrolled and so “horrible.”
