Pre-owned Fashion Billboards
Europe produces more than 2 million tons of textile waste every year and fashion has become a throwaway commodity. Zalando is aware of its share of responsibility and is breaking new ground. The Pre-owned service enables customers to sell old clothing via zalando.at and should be made known in Austria. To promote the campaign, the subjects of the international campaign were given a sustainable twist: The motifs were recreated by art students from thousands of worn items of clothing and then presented as artistic installations in public spaces. All the garments used remained undamaged, to be sold afterwards via Pre-owned. The campaign was therefore as sustainable as the service itself.
