Orkin, the leading name in pest control, has unveiled a bold new national campaign titled “Pests Are Smart, Orkin Pros Are Smarter,” developed in collaboration with creative agency DDB Chicago. Timed for peak pest season, the campaign blends humour, puppetry, and scientific credibility to spotlight the expertise of Orkin’s extensively trained professionals.
Featuring handcrafted puppets created by members of Wes Anderson’s artistic team, the spots introduce a mischievous lineup of pests — from beer-loving cockroaches to backyard-savvy mosquitoes — all trying to outwit homeowners. But their plans are swiftly thwarted by an Orkin Pro, equipped with over 160 hours of specialised training and true entomological expertise.
The puppets, brought to life with a quirky charm, are voiced by comedic talents including Brian Huskey, Hugh Scott, and Chris Candy, son of the legendary John Candy. Designed to feel both lifelike and whimsical, each character reflects authentic pest behaviour with a playful twist.
