The real strength of Londis Ireland is that it underpins the traditional values and knowledge of local shop keeping with a state of the art distribution network. This means that every shelf in Londis is a display of the knowledge that each storeowner has about their local community. So we wanted to highlight this in a light-hearted way with our new brand TV campaign: “Overheard In Londis”.
In GOING STEADY Trevor and Dave discuss Trev’s plans to ask Aoife out. Londis staff Des and Liam listen to Trev’s various ideas for gifts, from the mundane to the bizarre, and deliver them to the shelf right beside Trevor. But it all goes wrong when Aoife arrives with her Actual Boyfriend. In COMPETITIVE SHOPPING, Mum Una is on the hunt for pizza when Karen, the local busy- body, interferes. Karen embarrasses Una at her poor food choices for her children, playing on Una’s innate guilt at taking a short cut for an easier life. As Una pretends her choice was a mistake, Londis staff Des and Liam stock the chill cabinet with increasingly healthier foods.
