Renault Boreal, a strong ambition
Renault Boreal will be launched in more than 70 markets in two steps: first in some Latin American countries with the Curitiba (Brazil) industrialization from 2025, then in Bursa (Türkiye) industrialization, in 2026.
Renault Kardian sparked the Renaulution in Latin American markets with its Renault-born design, tech and safety features. Renault Boreal brings the Renaulution a step further: exclusive Renault SUV design with 213mm high ground clearance, spacious interior and a boot capacity of 586L ; enhanced onboard technologies thanks to the openR link system with Google built-in and over 100 apps ; enhanced safety with up to 24 advanced driver-assistance systems ; high comfort with the power-opening panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon® sound system and 10 speakers ; a true driving pleasure with torque of 270Nm.
This key player, high end and tech will be a major contributor to uplift the brand in markets out of Europe.
No one dreams small
To support this major reveal, Renault and Publicis Conseil unveil a poetic film that invites to dream big. Directed by Ben Tricklebank, this film dives into an architect's dream, in which the buildings are blown out of proportion. At the wheel of his Renault Boreal, the hero travels through a world that defies the ordinary, where oversized architectural elements loom all around him. When he wakes up, everything vanishes. Besides his car.
This film was shot in Brazil, where the heritage of Oscar Niemeyer's work was the perfect scenery for the architect's grandiose dream.
On the musical side, the title “Spitting on the edge of the world” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs accompanies this dreamlike journey. Its emotionally charged “alternative rock” sounds and synthetic layers are a perfect match for the dreamlike, futuristic aesthetic of this campaign.
The film will be shown during the reveal event in Sao Paulo on the 10th of July, in its long version. The 30s will be broadcast on digital and social media, along with digital and social media content. The start of sales will be supported with a TVC and a 360° campaign starting the 24th of November.
