5 minutes after the American news media announced the winner of the presidential election on Saturday 7th, the Danish furniture company Vipp – known for their iconic bin – published this image on their social platforms. A clever piece of newsjacking with a huge impact. It ignited the channels and made followers share rapidly. 48 hours later it had obtained a reach of 1/2 a million, purely organic without a dollar spent. (Benchmark organic reach these days are about 2%. This piece created a reach of +300%.)
