Description
Lost or abandoned ghost nets kill over 650,000 marine animals annually. These nets drift for decades, trapping and suffocating marine life. If we can create biodegradable bottles, why not fishing nets? Introducing NetZero Nets. The first self-disappearing fishing net, designed with biodegradable polymers that break down in seawater after 24 months, aligning with the natural lifespan of conventional nets. Using Time-Release Bioplastics, these nets maintain strength for 24 months, then degrades in saltwater in 30 days. Garmin partners with sustainable fisheries and government agencies to phase out conventional nets, offering NetZero at reduced prices. Garmin tracking integration helps fishermen locate and retrieve nets before degradation, reducing economic loss and eliminating ghost nets at the source.
