From Muffin Top to Hot Muffin is just a glimpse of the witty personality of Dr. Vincent Naman and his wife, Diane. The Namans have been clients of ours for close to a decade, and when you have a good client relationship like we do with them, trust and collaboration are cultivated.
In early 2017 they were wanting to advertise their liposuction and tummy tuck services. The Naman’s suggested a tag line of “Got a Hangover?”, which is what we ran that year, but the idea of a muffin top was the first thing that came to my mind. I didn’t want to settle with another mediocre plastic surgery design with “insert scantily clad woman, or woman holding out large pants, here.” With more brainstorming, I came up with the idea of advertising the end result instead of just the issue for the procedure. Thus “From Muffin Top, To Hot Muffin” was birthed. We pitched them this idea alongside their idea of “Got a Hangover?” They loved the “Muffin Top” idea, but didn’t have it in their budget to run that year. They verbally promised they would run it in 2018. Sometimes this is a death knell to ads, but fortunately not this one. Bright colors and delicious muffins won out.
