Description
Letters from 2050 is a four-part AI-generated public service campaign for Daejeon Metropolitan City, starring Kkumdori, the city’s beloved mascot, first born as the symbol of the Daejeon Expo ‘93.
Each film opens a thank-you letter sent from Daejeon in 2050, addressed to the citizens of today whose everyday choices built that future. Instead of explaining policies through administrative terms and statistics, the series shifts from “telling” to “feeling,” inviting people to imagine the city they are helping to create.
Ep01. A Carbon-Neutral City We Build Together
Ep02. A City Free of Exhaust Fumes
Ep03. A City Where Young People Dream
Ep04. A City Where Imagination Became Industry
From carbon neutrality and smart mobility to youth policy and the city’s identity as Korea’s science hub, each episode turns a public agenda into a vivid scene of everyday life in 2050.
The series was screened on the large-scale LG Electronics media wall in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon, a 36:9 ultra-wide display that wraps around a 90-degree corner. Each scene was staged across the left and right faces and the corner itself, letting viewers on the street feel firsthand how the future city has changed. The goal: to turn that moment of wonder into small, positive actions in everyday life.
What if the future could write back to us?
