Description
In Chile, animals are regulated by the Civil Code, classifying them as either movable or immovable property, considering them as things or objects. This regulation was enacted on December 14, 1855, and has not been under any modifications to this day. That's why we want to bring to light such a relevant issue concerning the granting of rights to sentient beings. We will do so through the "Let's Dismantle This Law" initiative, which will involve various actions to raise awareness about this reality and demonstrate why this article should be changed.
