Saxo Bank Taps Global Sports Stars for Major Brand Campaign.

Saxo Bank is bringing together nine international sports stars for a major campaign built around one central idea: the mindset required to succeed in elite sport has much in common with the mindset required to invest. Featuring Danish footballer Rasmus Højlund, Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, tennis stars Aryna and Stan Wawrinka, chess champion Magnus Carlsen and footballers Gareth Bale and Thibaut Courtois, alongside speed skater Jutta Leerdam and judoka Teddy Riner, the campaign draws a direct connection between performance in sport and decision-making in financial markets. Both disciplines demand preparation, discipline and patience, as well as the ability to assess risks and make decisions under pressure. Rather than focusing solely on results, Saxo’s campaign highlights the thinking and judgement behind them, presenting investing as a test of mindset as much as market knowledge.

Developed by Saxo’s in-house Brand & Design team with Danish production company U Itch I Scratch, the campaign will run across six markets: Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, England and Switzerland.
The rollout will span film, print, digital advertising and outdoor placements, including billboards and airport media. Saxo sees the partnerships as a long-term investment in the brand, with agreements varying by athlete. The campaign also signals a new chapter for the bank following its acquisition by J. Safra Sarasin Group. By connecting the discipline of elite sport with the complexities of investing, Saxo aims to strengthen its brand positioning and make the world of finance more relatable to a global audience.
