Description
When deadlines are tight and expectations are high, you just have to have a Director with the X-factor. Someone who’s a sure bet to deliver commercials fast, and that are as entertaining as they are effective.
Spitfire’s Paul Ramaema is that Director. Grid Worldwide needed nine 20-second commercials for their client betXchange – and they needed them yesterday. But they also needed them to look fantastic and land with the kind of comedic flair that keeps viewers hooked right to the end.
So Paul shot smart. Using one location and a single-take approach for each commercial, he created a bold and distinctive visual identity for every film, ensuring they all lived in their own believable – and brilliantly entertaining – worlds.
As Chris Torline, Marketing Director of betXchange, commented: “This campaign was built around a simple idea: it’s not you, it’s where you bet. Grid did a fantastic job bringing that platform to life creatively, and Paul and the Spitfire team executed it brilliantly under extremely tight timelines. The result is a campaign we’re incredibly proud of and one that has given betXchange a distinctive voice in the category.”
We think Paul landed a winner. Or, more accurately, nine winners. So look out for them and judge for yourself. And then give Spitfire a call. Because if you haven’t unlocked your own X-factor yet, maybe it’s not you.
