Description
Across many cities in Latin America, rooftops are packed with water tanks, while at the same time, countless dogs spend hours exposed to harsh sun, rain, and cold simply because there isn’t enough space or shelter at home.
Home Tank turns a traditional water tank into two things at once: a source of water for the household and a built-in shelter for dogs.
With an insulated cavity at the base of the tank, we created a safe, shaded space that stays cooler in the heat and warmer in colder weather. Made with UV-resistant, weather-durable materials, the design works for dogs of different sizes and requires no extra rooftop space—it simply repurposes something that’s already there to make life a little better for the animals that need it most.
